Kornati Coves & Zadar Old Town - from Split

7 days

Round trip

Kornati changes the scenery completely: fewer villages, more raw rock and open horizons, and coves that invite you to stay in the water longer than planned.

This Split-based route heads north through the Šibenik archipelago, spends meaningful time in Kornati, then finishes with one stylish city evening in Zadar before an easy run back to Split.

Key Points

  • A 7-day itinerary beginning and ending in Split.
  • Highlights include the Šibenik archipelago, Kornati National Park, Dugi Otok, and Zadar Old Town.
  • The plan stays flexible: the best coves, anchorages, and town berths depend on weather and your preferred pace.

Who is it Suitable For?

A strong choice for guests who want a clear sense of “going somewhere” from Split—without giving up comfort.

  • Nature-first cruising: long swim days, quiet anchorages, and a wilder-feeling island backdrop in Kornati.
  • Balanced weeks: you’ll still get a few excellent evenings ashore (Šibenik area and Zadar), without turning the route into a port-to-port schedule.

Practical Details

  • Duration: 7 days / 7 nights
  • Embarkation/Disembarkation: Split
  • Best time: May–October
  • Flexibility: This is a sample itinerary — the final routing depends on weather, berth availability, and your preferences.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Split → Šolta (Maslinica)

  • A gentle first cruise to settle in, with an optional swim stop off Čiovo or Drvenik in calm conditions.

Day 2 — Šolta → Primošten (or Rogoznica)

  • Cruise north with time for a long lunch and a swim stop along the way.

Day 3 — Primošten/Rogoznica → Šibenik archipelago (Zlarin / Prvić)

  • Short, comfortable cruising through sheltered waters.
  • Choose an overnight on Zlarin or Prvić for a quieter island feel, or berth in Šibenik if you’d like a town evening.

Day 4 — Šibenik archipelago → Kornati (Levrnaka / Telašćica)

  • Enter Kornati waters and spend the day exploring coves and bays.
  • Overnight in a protected Kornati anchorage; dinner ashore is possible at a konoba depending on your chosen bay.

Day 5 — Kornati (full day)

  • Keep the day open: swim, paddleboard, and move as little—or as much—as you feel like.
  • Option to add a second Kornati overnight, or shift toward Dugi Otok for a different feel.

Day 6 — Kornati / Dugi Otok → Zadar

  • A scenic run toward the mainland with swim stops along the way.
  • Evening in Zadar Old Town for a relaxed promenade and dinner.

Day 7 — Zadar → Šolta (swim stop) → Split

  • Head back south with a swim-and-lunch stop around Šolta or the Drvenik/Čiovo bays.
  • Arrive in Split for a comfortable final evening on board.

Optional adjustment: If you’d like a freshwater day, we can swap Day 3 or Day 6 for a Krka / Skradin detour (timing and berths permitting).
