What is Yacht Charter APA
Yachting
The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a key component of the chartering process, providing a comprehensive solution to manage expenses and ensure a smooth experience for both the charter party and the yacht owner. It covers a wide range of costs, allowing the charter party to focus on enjoying the journey—whether exploring stunning coastlines, savoring gourmet meals, or discovering protected natural areas—while all the logistical details are expertly managed. The APA offers a convenient and transparent financial framework, ensuring a stress-free experience throughout the charter.
What is APA used for?
While the APA covers a multitude of expenses during the charter, it’s important to note that the list is not exhaustive. Key components include yacht fuel consumption and the provision of food and beverages for the charter party. Other costs may include fuel for auxiliary vessels like tenders and jet skis, port and marina fees, yacht delivery or redelivery, shipping agent fees, customs fees, charter licenses for cruising outside Croatia, national park entrance fees, and any other expenses that may arise during the charter period.
How is APA paid?
APA is typically provided in cash upon check-in or via wire transfer to the shipping agent's account. The initial APA amount is based on an estimate of average spending for the charter. All APA costs will be carefully documented and presented to the client throughout the charter. Any unused APA will be returned to the client at the end of the charter. If it becomes apparent that the APA may not be sufficient due to the client's personal preferences or lifestyle choices, the captain will inform the client and advise that additional APA may be required to cover the remaining costs.
